Exterior Rendering - Project 5
Introduction
Architects and designers often use artist renderings in color and simplified line to communicate a visualized product in a realistic setting.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the project a successful student will be able to:
- Choose a descriptive and dynamic point of view for an exterior scene
- Draw an exterior environment in two-point perspective
- Combine the use of a photographic reference with an exterior two-point perspective drawing to create a realistic rendering of large scale structure
- Use watercolor to render a scene
Assignment
Choose a point of view on campus of a building(s). Ensure that your view is a two-point perspective. Note how parallel lines seem to be converging towards vanishing points. Draw what you see in two-point perspective. You may use photography to assist you.
